Maymyo ( 2 Days / 1 Night )
Extension possible from Mandalay
 Day 01 - Mandalay / Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) :
In the morning it is a scenic two hour drive
(67 km) to the former British hill station
of Maymyo, now officially called Pyin Oo
Lwin, 1,000m above sea level.
Many reminders of the colonial era are still
present in Pyin Oo Lwin, including brick and
timber houses with British names and the
Botanical Gardens to the south of town.
Transfer to hotel.
Day 02 - Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) / Mandalay :
After breakfast, enjoy a traditional horse
and carriage ride through the town to see
the historical houses and visit the
beautiful recently renovated Botanical
Gardens. Continue to the local market in the
centre of town near the clock tower.
In the afternoon there is an excursion to
the impressive Pwe Kauk Waterfall north of
Pyin Oo Lwin. Return to Mandalay in the late
afternoon. |
