 Mawlamyine ( 5 Days / 4 Nights )
A capital city of Mon State. Mon State is
situated in the South-Eastern coastal region
of Myanmar. Blue sea against Yoma Mountains
makes the scene so beautiful. Similarly
Mawlamyaing is a really pleasant town
surrounded by mountains and blue sea.
Choungzon, Mudon, Kyaikmayaw, Thanphyuzayat
are famous places to be visited. There are
many pagodas and stupas in Mawlamyaing. In
this region one can see Kyaikthanlan pagoda.
In Mudon there is the world biggest Buddha
Image (Win Sein Taw Ya Reclining Buddha
Image).
Day 1 - Yangon / Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) :
Overland drive from Yangon to Bago about 50
miles for an hour drive. On the way, Bago
city sightseeing, the ancient capital of
Mon, known as Hansavati. Sightseeing;
Shwemawdaw Pagoda-the highest Pagoda in
Myanmar. Shwethalyang Pagoda- the oldest
reclining Buddha image in Myanmar- 54 meter
long and build in 994 A.D, the Mon village
and Kyaikpon Pagoda- 4 gigantic seated
Buddha Image.
Proceed to Golden Rock 62 mile (100 km)
through the never ended Paddy fields. Arrive
Kim-pun base camp at the foot of the
mountain ridge. Drive up by special mountain
truck to get to Yathae (Hermit) mountain and
from there, hiking for an hour to Kyaikhto
hotel near Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock).
Day 2 - Golden Rock / Mawlamying :
Strolling around the hill sites and return
to Base camp form the hill.
Drive to Mawlamying about 5 hours drive from
Golden Rock. On the way, stop for a visit to
Ba-yain-nyi cave where is a hot spa. It has
a belief among native people to take a bath
in that particular hot spa is curable skin
disease.Proceed to the town of Pha-an, the capital
of Kayin State.Lunch break at Pha-an.
 Day 3 - Mawlamying :
Morning visit to a main market of Mawlamying,
very colourful and busy. Strolling at
downtown area, there are several houses as
an old British style.
Evening sightseeing include; Mahamyat Muni
Buddha Image, Kyaikthanlan Pagoda, Sein
Taung Queen monastery and sunset from U khan
Ti pagoda Hill. Overnight in Mawlamying.
Day 4 - KyaikMaYaw / Kyaik-Kami excursions :
Today, drive to a town of KyaikMaYaw; visit
the biggest reclining Buddha Image.
Proceed to the town of Thanphyuzayat, there
is WWII cemetery of Allied forces and most
of them were from death railway between
Myanmar and Thailand. Continue to Kyaik-Kami
pagoda by the sea and Set-Se beach. Return
to Mawlamying.
Day 5 - Mawlamying / Yangon :
Visit Gaung-Say-Kyun island and drive back
to Yangon.
